My First Bank Account

Hi, I'm Leo. Last month, I opened my first bank account. It was exciting but also a little confusing. First, I chose a bank near my school. The bank teller asked for my ID and my phone number. She said, 'You can open a student account for free.' That was great!

Next, the teller gave me a debit card. She told me, 'Remember your PIN. Never share it with anyone.' I wrote my PIN on a paper and hid it at home. Now I can withdraw cash from an ATM anytime I need it.

I also learned to transfer money online. My dad taught me how to send money to my sister. I use the bank's app on my phone. It is very fast. I check my balance every week, so I know how much money I have.

I feel happy and responsible now. I can save money for a new game. I can also pay for my lunch with my card. My advice: ask questions and be careful with your PIN. A bank account really helps!
